La gamma delle miniature da gioco di Infinity ha all’attivo un’ampia gamma di soggetti ai quali la casa madre affianca delle edizioni limitate molto particolari. È questo il caso del soggetto di questa recensione, ovvero Penthesilea Amazon biker Special Edition.
Il kit
Il modello si compone di due macro sezioni: Penthesilea e la sua moto. Come è possibile notare Corvus Belli ha lavorato molto su entrambi i soggetti e ha fornito una base circolare da 55mm di diametro per sostenere il modello una volta assemblato. La confezione in cartone rigido è imbottita con due strati di spugna così da assicurare un’ottima protezione ai componenti. All’interno troviamo la moto, scomposta in forcella e telaio, una bustina contenente il corpo di Penthesilea, le parti rimanenti della moto e i contrassegni degli operatori del controllo qualità in caso di problemi.
Penthesilea
Soggetto principale è, ovviamente, la nostra eroina che troviamo seduta sulla sua moto. La postura “a riposo” la vede appoggiare il braccio sinistro sul manubrio, mentre la mano sinistra è posata sul parafango posteriore.
La gamba sinistra, estesa, sostiene il peso della moto mentre quella destra è piegata e il piede poggia sulla pedana.
Il torso è girato verso il fianco mentre il viso scruta verso i suoi compagni d’avventura.
Il viso, meravigliosamente scolpito, vede enfatizzare i lineamenti dalla chioma sciolta sulle spalle. Un paio di occhialoni da carrista appoggiati sulla fronte completano l’insieme.
Il corpo ha le fattezze morbide delle eroine dei fumetti con volumi generosi ma mai esagerati e arti esili ma proporzionati.
L’abbigliamento è tipico della cultura “on the road” rivisto però in chiave futuristica. Giubbetto di pelle, pantaloni attillati e stivaloni con il tacco avvolgono Penthesilea coprendo senza nasconderne il corpo. In poche parole un vero capolavoro per dettaglio e qualità.
La moto
La speed bike ha un design a metà tra una moto da strada e un custom estremo.
La forcella lunga si collega a una spettacolare ruota senza raggi dalla gomma ibrida mentre il telaio, dal centro di gravità molto basso, è caratterizzato da un enorme motore e un altrettanto grande trasmissione.
Oltre agli insiemi di forcella e telaio la moto si compone di altri tre elementi: pedane, scarichi e manubrio.
Anche questi sono caratterizzati dalla stessa cura dei particolari eccellente che troviamo in Penthesilea e una volta montata rappresenta un ottimo pezzo anche singolarmente.
La stampa
La modellazione eccellente e la cura dei dettagli non sono gli unici punti a favore di questo gioiello in miniatura. La stampa dei componenti, infatti, è all’altezza dei migliori produttori al mondo così come la scelta del metallo che è caratterizzato da una finitura omogenea e non presenta ritiri di alcun tipo.
La fusione è ottima e il dettaglio è reso perfettamente grazie alla presenza di numerosi canali che hanno permesso al metallo di raggiungere ogni piccolo anfratto. Questi possono essere eliminati facilmente, al pari della sottilissima linea di fusione. Discorso a parte meritano le materozze da cui è entrata la maggior parte del metallo che richiedono un maggior lavoro di taglierino e lima.
Conclusioni
Un ottimo modello che merita un posto d’onore nella collezione di ogni appassionati di soggetti Sci-Fi anche non avvezzi al gioco.
